United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is the Official Impact Partner of Hartford City Football Club
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is proud to announce a new partnership with Hartford City Football Club as the club’s Official Impact Partner. To celebrate the initiative the club is offering 20% off tickets for their game this Saturday, July 12 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Health Stadium, where #1 Hartford City Football Club is taking on #2 New Haven United in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Conference Finals.
This new partnership will raise awareness and champion the efforts of United Way’s strategic plan, Onward860: United To End Poverty.“United Way is on a mission to rally people, resources and voices to end poverty by reducing disparities in child literacy, wages, life expectancy and housing. The Onward860 vision is built on insights and feedback from our community; a century of service and experience; a belief in a better future; and, equity at our core.” said Eric Harrison, President and CEO of United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.
The partnership is being developed with United2026, next summer’s FIFA World Cup, in mind. “The World Cup is the most prestigious soccer competition as well as a cultural celebration of civic pride. Our partnership with the United Way is the foundation of sharing Hartford’s character and values in this global context.” said Andy Parker, Head Coach of Hartford City Football Club.
Through this new partnership, Hartford City Football Club matches and programs will rally fans in support of United Way’s efforts to reduce disparities and co-create solutions to end poverty in the 860 region. The club will also provide members of the community with opportunities to get involved by volunteering or attending events.
