Tony Winner Anika Noni Rose to Perform at Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford’s Great Futures Celebration
Hartford, Conn. (May 12, 2025): Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is thrilled to announce Tony Winning Actress and voice of Princess Tiana from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, Anika Noni Rose, will perform at this year’s Great Futures Celebration.
Originally from Bloomfield, Conn., Rose is an acclaimed actress, singer and Tony Award winner. She has been named a Disney Legend for her voice acting in The Princess and the Frog. She was nominated for a Grammy for her performances of the iconic song from the film, “Almost There” and “Down in New Orleans.” Rose will perform “Almost There” with kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford during the celebration.
The 2025 Great Futures Celebration: A Night of Music, Magic & Memories will be held June 7 at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford. The signature fundraising event is critical to keep costs to families low and affordable while providing life-shaping programs and opportunities to kids and teens in Greater Hartford. This year’s event will also celebrate the youth development organization’s 165th anniversary of helping young people in Hartford reach their full potential.
The night includes touching and inspiring words from Hartford and Connecticut Youth of the Year, Emani L. and the Champion of Youth Sponsor, Liberty Bank.
