Symphony in the Park Returns to Bushnell Park on June 14

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra performs this free concert in the community bandshell at Hartford’s Bushnell Park

Hartford, CT (May 19, 2025) – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce the return of Symphony in the Park, a free outdoor concert in Bushnell Park on Saturday, June 14 at 2 PM, conducted by HSO Music Director Carolyn Kuan. Guest artists include 2024 Young Artist Competition winner Michael Sigal, violin; Schauntice Shepard, soprano; and a special intermission appearance by the Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus. 

Symphony in the Park brings together more than 55 HSO musicians performing a variety of music, including a vibrant mix of classical favorites, spirited Americana, and show-stopping selections from West Side Story and Duke Ellington.

“Symphony in the Park is a celebration of community and culture that is so vibrant in Hartford. This year’s program is energetic, diverse, and designed to delight music lovers of all backgrounds- we hope to see you there,” said Steve Collins, President & CEO of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

In case of inclement weather, this concert will be held at the same time and date in Mortensen Hall at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. The event will remain un-ticketed and free to the public.
