Hospital for Special Care's Inclusive Touch-a-Truck Event: Bringing the Community Together!

NEW BRITAIN, CT, [July 2, 2025] – Join us for an exciting and inclusive Touch-a-Truck event where families from the Hospital for Special Care’s Autism Center can explore a variety of vehicles, from emergency trucks to construction equipment. This event is designed for children with autism and their families to interact with vehicles in a sensory-friendly environment.

Why: This event aims to foster inclusivity, promote community engagement, and provide a fun, educational experience for all children.

Meet physical, occupational, and speech therapists from Hospital for Special Care, and families of the HFSC Autism Center. Confirmed vendors will include:

  • Read to Grow Book Truck

  • CT Dental Health

  • Kona Ice of Manchester

  • Autism Families CT

  • New Britain Postal Service

  • CT State Police Troop H

  • Milford PD

  • Newington PD

  • A. DeLeo Construction
