Hartford’s Camp Courant Elects Five New Board Members

HARTFORD, Conn. (April 30, 2025) – Hartford’s Camp Courant’s Board of Directors is expanding following the election of five new members. Jonathan Gineo, Carrianne Polo, Tisa Rabun, Amelinda Rossitto and Thuyan Tran have all joined the board as members at-large.

“Camp Courant is such a special place and that is even more evident to see when people are drawn to our mission,” said Camp Courant CEO Corrianne Chipello. “It is empowering to be a part of a team that is dedicated to making an impact on Hartford’s youth. I’m thrilled to welcome such an enthusiastic and passionate group of community leaders to our dynamic team.”

The five incoming directors share a breadth of community involvement in Greater Hartford and come from diverse corporate backgrounds. Gineo comes from the real estate industry and is the principal owner of Silver + Oak Realty / Hydrant Holdings. Gineo has previously chaired numerous regional young professional networks and is active in youth sports in West Hartford.

Polo, the founder and CEO of New Park Creative, a digital marketing agency in Downtown Hartford, has a wealth of experience with community involvement across Greater Hartford. In addition to Camp Courant, Polo serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Women’s Council and has been an active volunteer for numerous area nonprofits and leadership programs.

Rossitto, the senior associate director of the University of Connecticut’s Center for Career Readiness & Life Skills, joins the Camp Courant board having served on the organization’s planning committee for its annual ‘Buddy Bash’ fundraising gala in 2024. Rossitto credits this experience as what ignited her passion for the organization’s mission.

Rabun is the head of marketing at Nassau Financial Group, where she has been since 2004. She has previously served on, and chaired, the board of Footlights Center for Performing, served on the board of Hartford Youth Scholars, and held numerous officer positions on the board of Leadership Greater Hartford. Additionally, she is a member of Women United, the United Way of Central and Northeastern CT steering committee, an ambassador for the Hartford Public Library, program director of the Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack and Jill of America and member of the gala committees for Girls for Technology and MakersSpace.

Tran comes from the real estate industry as well, as one of the founding partners of Oxford Realty Group in Hartford. Active in her industry, Tran also currently serves on the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors (GHAR) Brokers Committee. Tran has been a recurring volunteer at Camp Courant and hopes to help make a difference in the lives of children residing in the city she works.

Founded in 1894, Hartford’s Camp Courant is a youth development organization and the oldest and largest free summer day camp in the United States, serving 750 children from the City of Hartford each day. To further boost mission funding, Camp Courant is participating in the Birdies for Charity program in partnership with the Travelers Championship. All donations will be met with a 15 percent match, courtesy of Webster Bank, leading up to Camp Courant’s opening day on June 23rd. Additionally, Camp Courant’s 36-acre facility is also available to be rented for any event or gathering, where all proceeds directly fund its summer programs.
