Important Life-saving programs and a mom shares her extraordinary story
January 23, 2025 | Today Hartford HealthCare hosted a special event on “Maternal Health Awareness Day” to bring attention to maternal health outcomes.
The event featured discussions on trauma informed care, the new Hartford Hospital Doula program, and a powerful patient story that highlights the life-saving care and impact of these programs.
Hartford HealthCare is committed to providing world-class care for all women in their child birthing journey with a special focus on those experiencing physical and emotional trauma during childbirth. With the introduction of doulas into the care experience, Hartford Healthcare is adding valuable personalized support to ensure a safe birth experience.
A mother of eight shared her incredible story of how her life —and the life of her unborn child—was saved through Hartford HealthCare's innovative maternal care programs, including the critical support of a doula during her high-risk pregnancy.
