Hartford Healthcare Partners with Non-Profit to Provide Mobile Shower Services to Hands on Hartford

Hartford Healthcare’s Neighborhood Health Team has teamed up with “Power in a Shower” to offer a unique mobile shower service aimed at providing clean, safe shower access to underserved communities. The service debuted today at Hands On Hartford, alongside the Neighborhood Health clinics on-site.

Access to clean water and proper hygiene is a critical need for underserved populations, and hand hygiene is an essential component of overall health. This partnership not only addresses hygiene but also contributes to improved healthcare outcomes for individuals facing adversity. Each participant will receive fresh towels, hygiene products, and undergarments.

This initiative follows a highly successful collaboration between Neighborhood Health and Power in a Shower during a June 2024 haircut event, where community members provided overwhelming positive feedback.
