Hartford HealthCare and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Partner to Expand Access to Preventive Care in Hartford

Partnership bridges healthcare gaps among underserved communities by providing free shingles, RSV, and pneumococcal vaccinations

HARTFORD, CONN. — Hartford HealthCare and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield are partnering to bridge healthcare gaps and expand access to preventive care for underserved individuals in Hartford. At a kick-off event in Hartford today, the two organizations announced they are providing free shingles, RSV, and pneumococcal vaccinations and transportation assistance to approximately 200 patients of the Primary Care Clinic at the Center for Community Health. Currently, patients are required to address their vaccination needs at community pharmacies as these services are not provided by the clinic.
