The CREC Foundation invites media and community members to its 11th Annual Golf Tournament & Scholarship Dinner—an all-day event that raises critical funds for student scholarships, including the Bruce E. Douglas Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity and the Kristina Star Jordan Social Justice Scholarship.

Event proceeds fund CREC’s annual student scholarships, empowering graduates to pursue higher education and community leadership

SCHOLARSHIP IMPACT

  • Bruce E. Douglas Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity – Up to $6,000 over four years for students who have demonstrated resilience in the face of significant challenges.

  • Kristina Star Jordan Social Justice Scholarship – Supports Hartford Region Open Choice Program students who champion equity and inclusion in their schools and communities.

REGISTRATION & SPONSORSHIP

  • Early Birdie Foursome: $900 through July 1 (regular $1,000 after July 1)

  • Individual Golfer: $275 (includes dinner)

  • Dinner-Only Ticket: $100

  • Sponsorships: Opportunities range from $300 Tee Signs to $20,000 Title Sponsorships, plus exclusive options for apparel, golf carts, meals, beverage stations, and hole-in-one contests.

  • Desi Nesmith joined CREC in April 2024 after leadership roles in Bloomfield Public Schools and the Connecticut State Department of Education.
