Charter Oak State College announces School of Education and M.S. Curriculum and Instruction

NEW BRITAIN, CT – May 1, 2025 – In response to the demand for offering an advanced degree to support educators, Charter Oak State College, (www.CharterOak.edu) Connecticut’s public online College, has announced a new online Master of Science Curriculum and Instruction to launch this Fall. The program is the only online degree of its kind in the state of Connecticut, specifically designed to support educators to become more highly qualified so they can move into leadership roles related to curriculum and instruction.   

The degree is designed for P-12 educators to take on the roles of Instructional Program Coordinator, Curriculum Specialist, Educational Consultant, Professional Development Facilitator in educational programs in early childhood education, elementary education, middle school, high school, as well as special education and urban education settings.  The 33-credit program can be completed 100% online in 18-24 months and will be housed in the College’s new School of Education.
