Bradley International Airport Hosts Honor Flight Send-off
Windsor Locks, CONN – May 3, 2025 – The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) was once again honored to host 65 Veterans taking part in Honor Flight Connecticut.
The Veterans, along with 70 guardians and Honor Flight staff, departed from Bradley International Airport (BDL) this morning and began their journey to Washington D.C. Those making the trip include a 102-year-old who served in World War II, and Veterans who served during the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Cold War. The group represents the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
Honor Flight Connecticut brings military Veterans to our nation’s capital to visit the memorials that commemorate their service and recognize the brave men and women who’ve served our country. During this visit, Honor Flight participants will visit Arlington National Cemetery, the World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The CAA would like to recognize the team at Bradley International Airport and Breeze Airways for assisting in today’s Honor Flight Connecticut program to ensure our Veterans had a meaningful send-off and journey to Washington D.C.
The group is scheduled to arrive back at BDL later tonight.
