Backus Hospital Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Retail Pharmacy

January 21, 2024 | Today Backus Hospital had a ribbon cutting for the new Backus Hospital Retail Pharmacy.

The Backus Hospital Retail Pharmacy, located next to the gift shop in the main lobby of Backus Hospital, is now open and available to patients, the public and all Hartford HealthCare colleagues.

Pharmacists work with healthcare providers to ensure specialty medication needs are delivered accurately and on time providing our customers with fully integrated pharmacy services and the highest quality care.

The pharmacy represents more than just a new space, it is a testament to Hartford HealthCare’s mission to improve access to affordable healthcare for all.

By bringing a retail pharmacy in to a hospital setting, patients will get the medications and support they need—quickly, conveniently, and seamlessly.
