Annie Daniel, MD expands Neuromuscular Center
NEW BRITAIN, CT, June 30, 2025 – Annie Daniel, MD has joined Hospital for Special Care (HFSC) as a neurologist in the hospital’s Neuromuscular Center. Daniel joins the Neuromuscular Center as it expands to a new location in Hebron, Connecticut.

Daniel will offer nerve conduction studies, needle electromyography (EMG), single-fiber electromyography (SFEMG), and other specialized procedures at the new Hebron Campus. EMG & peripheral nerve evaluation services at the hospital has an exemplary status accredited by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).

Annie Daniel, MD completed her medical education in India at the Institute of Medical Sciences. She completed a residency in neurology at UCONN School of Medicine, as well as a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine. She completed a residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at University Hospital, and a residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital. She is board certified in electrodiagnostic medicine, neuromuscular medicine and neurology.
To further support patient access and growth, a second neuromuscular provider, Lucas Benchaya, MD, will join the Hebron team in November, strengthening our capacity to care for patients with complex neuromuscular conditions.
